  1. TIKTOK
    a. it was developed by Byte Dance company.
    b. it was initially released in 2016 but later with the merger with Musical.ly after two years it went global and became a sensation among the young teens.
    c. As of October 2020, it has reached 2 billion mobile downloads.

4. NATIONAL RESILIENCE DAY

  1. National Resilience Day was observed on 08, October 2020.
    a. The National Resilience Day
    is celebrated on October 08 each year to remember the 80000 departed souls and 4 million homeless nationals during the Earthquake of 2005.
    b. The Earthquake of 2005 had a magnitude of 7.6 Richter scale.

5. NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HEC APPOINTED

  1. Dr. Shaista Sohail was hired as new Higher Education Commission (HEC) Executive Director (ED) on 08 October, 2020.
    a. The HEC was established in 1974 and was expanded and modernized in 2002.
    b. The first and founding Chairman of HEC was Atta-Ur-Rehman.
    c. In 1974, it was called University Grants Commission (UGC) latter in 2002 it was changed to Higher Education Commission (HEC).
